I am lucky enough to have photographed at many gorgeous wedding venues in and around the Austin area throughout my career, but new ones open up all the time, and I always want to explore the space! This is a new series I’m writing, a wedding photography wishlist, describing venues where I’d love to shoot.
If you are a couple who has booked this venue and you hire me for my first wedding there, I will give a 15% discount on any of my wedding packages.
I fell in love with The Greenhouse at Driftwood immediately — who wouldn’t be smitten by the giant, glassed-in greenhouse full of exotic-looking plants? While the greenhouse definitely is the highlight, one can’t ignore all of the other perks of the venue: a three-story mansion attached to the greenhouse, in which both wedding parties can get ready simultaneously in beautiful, air-conditioned rooms.
Ceremony spots can be anywhere on the property — there are no “bad” views, except maybe the parking lot — though I was lucky enough to witness a ceremony on the lawn with the greenhouse in the background; larger weddings can be on the pool deck around the side of the house, still within view of the greenhouse.
Through a short pathway you will find a giant open-air space, adorned with festoon lighting, that can fit 200+ seated guests, with room to dance.
I can’t wait to photograph a wedding here — please contact me if this is your venue and you’re looking for a photographer!
