It’s no exaggeration that I start to salivate when a couple tells me that they’ve picked Pink Avocado for their wedding-day catering. My friend Diana hired them for her 2012 wedding and raved about their menu, and in the five years since, I’ve had the luck of tasting some of their food during my work days.

Imagine my excitement when friend and planner Mandy of Modern Whimsy Events invited me to a Bread & Circus Supper Club series last month at Pink Avocado’s home base, Palm Door on Sabine. Every so often, Pink Avocado dreams up a delicious and seasonal menu, invites 40 or so people, and serves beautifully plated dishes of both carnivorous and vegan fare to appreciative guests. Mandy styled the dinner gorgeously — I think the tiny rose-gold pineapple candlestick holders were the perfect touch for the summer menu! I photographed the August Supper Club and loved it so much that I’m sharing a few photos here. I cannot thank the crew of Pink Avocado, especially Brent and Hollace, for the lovely meal.
