A landscaper marries an architect and lo, their wedding was beautiful.
As Rachael and Andrew grinned through their vows under the towering oak trees, we were treated to a backdrop of rustling leaves, warm sunlight, and a soft breeze. It was a gorgeous day in Austin, and the light at Mercury Hall was phenomenal as always.
This sweet wedding had all the hallmarks of a non-traditional, fantastic celebration: a backyard feel, homemade food, wedding pie in lieu of cake, flower girls dressed as faeries, a good friend officiating, and a dance party. Throw in a fabulous peach dress by Rebecca Schoneveld as a cherry on top!
Rachael had this (and more) to say on Yelp:
[Elissa] gave us direction without totally posing us, so the photos still look like us. I didn’t notice her or her second shooter for most of the wedding … so I was surprised at all the wonderful shots she got!
And the photos: they were so fantastic that I cried a little. I’ve seen some photographers who produce artistic shots that value the art and composition value over the subjects. Not Elissa. She was able to get the most amazing photos. I can’t decide which ones to print because they are all fabulous.
Thank you Elissa for making a good day great!
