I’ve actually known Samantha for a while — though we were a few grades apart, she and I followed a similar school trajectory: same middle school, same high school, same college. We rubbed elbows in the dining hall and her dorm was catty-corner to mine. I already knew she was a sweet and creative-minded person (Sam was in the art department with me!), so when she inquired with me about her and Matt’s wedding at the one, the only Houston Museum of Natural Science, I might have shrieked a yes.
And it was even cooler than I had imagined: Samantha and Matt’s ceremony overlooked the giant, illuminated dinosaur skeletons in the Morian overlook of the Paleontology Hall. Their family and friends gave toasts under a T-Rex. A maze of displays was available for their guests to look at while sipping glasses of champagne and eating macarons. Yes, yes, and yes, please. Plus, we got to see a giant sloth!
Here are just a few of my favorites from Sam and Matt’s day…
