Jenni and Bryan were planning a June wedding, but became overwhelmed with the entire “big wedding” process. Instead of one big shindig, they decided to have a small pop-up wedding in Zilker Park in March, to be followed by a more laid-back reception on their original June date.

Zilker was the perfect setting for their little wedding; on a pretty weekend afternoon, they marked their spot with a ton of yellow and grey balloons, strapped a GoPro to one of their two pups, and exchanged vows in the middle of flying Frisbees and fetching dogs. Bryan, who proposed with a blue French horn à la How I Met Your Mother, and Jenni, who was escorted by her parents (her father in a top hat) celebrated with 30 of their favorite people, then dined at El Chile with Hey Cupcake for dessert.

I’m still very excited about their reception this summer, but for now, here is Part 1 of Jenni and Bryan’s very Austin Zilker Park wedding.

SO CUTE! That last shot especially, adorable!

Love it! What a happy day! That AT-AT image is hilarious – what an awesome couple!

So wonderful & charming! You got some wonderful images!

ha, what an awesome idea with the dog! you captured some amazing moments!

Love the splashes of color with the yellow and blue! And yeah, I think the whole “private pop-up ceremony with more typical reception later” is becoming more popular. Or maybe I only think that because that’s what I did, haha! Confirmation bias. ;)
