Melissa and Claire’s wedding was a beautiful celebration in the chilly outdoors of early March, with curlicues of dark greenery accenting the grounds at the Inn at Wild Rose Hall. The entire place was strewn with twinkle lights, which gave the overcast day an extra twilight glow. Though the temperatures dipped below 50 — unusual for this time of year in Texas — Claire and Melissa’s guests were warmed with homemade apple dapple cakes, by shaking their feet to Johnny Bravvo‘s tunes, and by the happy sense of community all around. This was an extraordinarily cheerful wedding, and I’m so glad it was the first one for me to shoot in 2015 — I think the year started off amazingly!
