bride groom at trattoria lisina

It’s always amazing to me, to hear about people from different parts of the world, who find each other and fall in love. Maria, a Filipino living in Texas, and Mitch, a Canadian from Ontario, found each other one night in a small Texas town and felt a connection. Dating turned into a long-distance relationship, and this pair decided to go all-in and marry each other in Austin.

Their tiny ceremony at Chapel Dulcinea, attended by just his family and her family, was surrounded by intermittent downpours and then cloudy skies. The group dined at Trattoria Lisina in the Texas Hill Country, played Loteria, ate cupcakes, and sipped wine.

I can’t imagine a more perfect, low-key, and beautiful wedding day than this. It was a joy to spend so much time with these two happy families, and here are some of my favorite photos from Maria and Mitch’s small wedding.

Did my first small wedding a few weeks ago, was really concerned there wouldn’t be enough “going on” but I really enjoyed it. This looks like a really fun wedding, you did a great job.
