Astrophotography Wedding Photography

Driving along the expanse of desert road, Patrick — with his eyes focused on the distance, wearing his cheerful wedding suit and a gingham shirt — said to me, “We got engaged here in Marfa. We absolutely love it here. It’ll always be a significant place in our lives.”

Marfa was beautiful. Quiet, peaceful; sunny and cold at the same time. Mary and Patrick invited their closest friends and family (and their pup, Mr. Brooks) to share in their wedding day at the historic Paisano Hotel, and we spent the first part of their day at Prada Marfa, the spot where Patrick proposed. Being in this tiny Texas city was a new experience for me, and I loved how it felt: it was like we were the only ones in the town at all, and the entirety of the town was reveling in this amazing wedding.

And at the end of the night, after we wrapped up shooting, we were invited to the couple’s suite with everyone else for the after-party, and I was able to try on Mary’s glittery blue Louboutin heels. I have something new to aspire to! These are just a few of my favorite shots from Mary and Patrick’s fantastic fête out in the desert…
