“This is Kobe,” Jenny said, as an extremely happy golden retriever, tongue lolling from her mouth and butter-colored fringed tail whipping back and forth, greeted me. Kobe, and her humans Jenny and James, were picture-perfect as we soaked up the golden, glimmering light. We’d just finished the first part of our session at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center — without the excitable pup — and now, a nearby dog park served for the second half.

I can’t get over how effortless these two were in front of the camera. Their quiet togetherness was so warming to watch. And the addition of Kobe to the mix brought out their more playful, giggly side. I’m so excited about Jenny and James’ wedding at Vista West Ranch next spring.
