Sometimes, you get really, really lucky. Sometimes, you see two people share their feelings openly in front of their family and friends, on a beautiful October day in a gorgeous sculpture garden, and then you see them party down with gusto when the sun goes down. Mosquitoes and an unusually warm (for fall) weather didn’t deter Connie and John from enjoying their wedding day at the Umlauf. They exchanged vows next to a thousand origami cranes that the bride’s grandmother shared with the couple, enjoyed tiny mason-jar pies and wedding cake under a tent, and danced among the sculptures in the uncovered garden patio.

It was a beautiful night. I’m really excited to share just a few photos from Connie and John’s wedding.

beautiful work. You captured them in portrait so beautifully congrats Connie and John!

I feel like you’ve somehow mastered the ability to be in 17 places at once. How did you do that? The killer shot of the bride and dad walking down the aisle with all the trees…then the shot of the groom seeing her walk down the aisle. Both so amazing. How did you teleport yourself like that Elissa, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!

@Kyle – Aw, thank you! I have to give credit where credit is due, though… The shot of Connie being walked out with her dad is by me, but my second shooter Anne grabbed John’s reaction shot :) While the majority of the photos in each blog are by me, I do use a few shots by my 2nd shooters to fill in any gaps.
