Meet Jill and Zach. They are two beautiful people who found me through Offbeat Bride. When Jill wrote her initial email to me, she said a few key words that made my eyes water. Backyard wedding. Green dip-dyed dress. Doggie ring bearer. As I wrote back I sighed a little wish into the universe: please let them book me, because these people sound amazing.
Well, they did book, much to my extreme happiness! Jill and Zach drove down from Lubbock for their engagement session. Little did I know that Zach had planned a small surprise for both of us when we started the session. See, Jill and Zach had already agreed to get married, but Zach hadn’t officially proposed. So he brought out a big glass globe, a gift from the owner of a glass-blowing studio they knew, and a hammer.
And when Jill smashed the globe with the hammer, another seemingly random gift he’d given her a few days earlier, the ring that emerged was…
well, pretty gorgeous.
Zach works at a coffee shop so we scheduled some time at a hip coffee bar here in Austin, Hillside Farmacy. Isn’t it absolutely sweet how they are looking at each other? We planned this session for November, so Jill picked out a cute coat and hat, and then global warming giggled at us, because the day was 80 degrees. Still, we can pretend that they were cozying up in a warm little café in the middle of a crisp winter day, right?
These two have amazing chemistry.
I might have told a really horrible joke to make them laugh. Thanks for going along with it, you two!
After our session, they treated me to Thai food and we just sat and talked for 2 hours. It was awesome :)
Their wedding is going to be amazing! I seriously cannot wait!!
