2011 was an amazing year. I was still getting started with my business, but by December 2010 I was getting inquiries for the year and I blazed into 2011 with a fiery determination.
We’re kicking off the “Best Of” blog posts with engagement sessions. Let’s start with Rachelle & Stephen’s Houston Museum District session… this was the first session I shot with the D700 and I fell in looooove. It absolutely helped that Rachelle and Stephen were so friendly and understood what I meant even though I talked a mile a minute. I’ve since learned to calm down a little during engagement sessions :)
And then we shot their Royal Tenenbaums inspired session, which I also loved…
Marcee and Bobby decided they wanted to shoot their engagement session with a classic 1954 Chevrolet. It was rockabilly-tastic.
Liz and Steven were interested in a sweet engagement session that showed off both their love….
…and their love for the Whedonverse…
Then Rocky and Michelle’s East Austin engagement session proved that you may be near a trash treatment center and still make gorgeous photos.
Finally, Diana and Michael’s backyard and brewery session showed us that love & beer can be pretty darn awesome.
I actually have one more engagement session scheduled for 2011 — on the last day of this year, in fact — but thought I’d like to get started with all of my “Best Of” round-ups now! In the coming weeks we’ll be sharing Best Of Weddings 2011 and Hidden Gems (that is, images that never made it to the blog but are still some of my favorites)!
Stay tuned!!
Great images Elissa. Love the last one especially.
Love that royal tenenbaums shot!! And the last one! :)
