Your wedding is not a photoshoot.

I promise to make beautiful images at your wedding, and I strive to capture you as you. For most of your wedding I will be a fly on the wall, hovering nearby, photographing moments as they unfold, instead of dictating where you should stand or what you should be doing.
I want you to be yourself. Smile when you’re happy, cry when you’re overwhelmed with emotion, laugh when you’re amused. I don’t want you to do it because I tell you to.
The only time I will step in to guide you will be during your wedding portrait session. I will give you direction on looking and feeling comfortable and lovely.
Whatever you decide your wedding will be, whomever you decide to marry, no matter if you have a million glittering details or a simple affair, as long as you are happy and in love, I want to be there for you.
I love love. I will love your wedding as much as you love it. I like candid and emotive moments. I like making art and sharing it with you. Let’s chat about making some beautiful photos together – Contact me here.

About Elissa
If you choose me as your wedding photographer, you’re going to be spending a lot of time with me. Wedding photographers share a lot of the wedding day with their couples — more so than their caterers, their wedding party, and sometimes even their parents — so let’s make sure that we click.
I’ve been described as nerdy and funny. I geek out about World War II mini-series and movies. I wear thick-framed glasses and am addicted to Burt’s Bees lip balm. I can name all the flavors of ice cream that Amy’s makes. I sometimes dye my hair cotton-candy pink and then dye it back to black so that it can recuperate. (It goes in cycles.) My guilty pleasure is Nutella, eaten out of the jar with a spoon. I am hopelessly attached to the BBC production of Pride and Prejudice and have watched it in its entirety every three months since I was 17. I married a man who makes me laugh… and who can juggle.
I’d love to meet you for a cup of tea to chat about your wedding day :) Let’s start talking!
