Groom’s Week | Part 1

Happy Valentine’s Day! I thought of Groom’s Week back in December for this special holiday, because weddings always seem to revolve around the bride. And while you and I both know that not all weddings need a “groom,” per se, there does need to be a partner for the wedding to go forward.

For the most part, the primary wedding photographer spends a lot of time with the bride, the wedding party, and the immediate families; and the secondary photographer spends time with the groom and the guests. This is not a hard-and-fast rule, but this way all of the wedding is covered from multiple angles. I second-shot for a few very talented and wonderful Austin wedding photographers last fall and thought now would be a nice time to show more of the grooms.

The photos in the next two posts were taken for Sweet Caroline Photo, Eric Kotara, and Meredith Greager. Each image is noted for whom I shot the photo.

Christy - It is funny how little we see of the grooms in photo coverage/blog posts often! I never really thought about it before. I especially love the one of the groom in front of the TV. :)

Emilia Jane - Elissa these are absolutely stunning.

Chris Lin - This is quite probably the most fun part of second shooting. Nicely done, Elissa!
