This wedding is so near and dear to my heart because I’m friends with both Laura and Drew. In fact, as I mentioned in their engagement session post, Drew is half of the reason why I met my husband (the other half being his friend and groomsman, Eran), for which he will always have a special place in my life. Walt and I were so happy when Laura and Drew started dating, excited when Drew kept us updated on his proposal plans, and touched when they trusted me with their wedding photography.
Their Sunday afternoon wedding at Vintage Villas was absolutely beautiful — clear sky, bright rooms, and full of the happiest people you have ever seen. Drew and Laura were absolutely blissful and full of joy, and it reflected on everyone around them. It was a buoy that lifted all of us up.
There were so many touches that made their wedding theirs… like Drew’s omnipresent Batman items (cufflinks, rubber bracelets on all the groomsmen, the cake!); high-fiving cake toppers; bagels instead of challah, because Drew and Laura met over bagels at Hillel; and Drew’s childhood rabbi officiating.
Congratulations, you two!

Side note: I really have to hand it to my second photographer, Chris Lin. He knew I was a friend of the couple so I leaned on him a lot more than I usually rely on my second shooters. He let me sit down during the reception to eat cake and enjoy the moment with Walt, who was a guest. I also have to thank my assistant, Quinn, for helping out. Thanks, guys!
